Day Programs

Programs for All Ages

Melbourne Care Services delivers structured programs for children, young people, and adults of all ages.

We are a registered NDIS provider for Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) and therapeutic assistance, delivering age-appropriate, goal-focused programs that support development, independence, and meaningful community participation.

What Our Programs Include

Our programs are designed to build practical skills, confidence, and social connection. Activities are adapted to individual goals, abilities, and interests.

Our programs may include:

- Computer skills and digital literacy

- Art and painting programs

- Sewing, craft, and creative activities

- Cooking and meal preparation skills

- Gardening and outdoor activities

- Social skills and group participation activities

All activities are delivered within a structured, safe, and supportive environment.

Before School Programs (7:00am – 9:00am)

Our before school programs support participants to start their day calmly, safely, and with consistent routines.

Supports include:

- Morning routines and personal care

- Breakfast preparation and supervision

- Skill development and emotional regulation

- Transport support where required

Afternoon/Evening Programs (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm)

Most community centres and group-based programs operate between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, similar to school hours. For working parents and carers, this often creates challenges balancing employment, travel time, and household responsibilities.

Our Afternoon and Evening Programs are designed to bridge this gap. We provide safe, structured care from pick-up through to drop-off, supporting your loved ones after day programs or school until you return home. Families can have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are supported, engaged, and cared for during the critical hours at the end of the day.

Weekend Programs – Saturday & Sunday Mornings
This program runs from 10 am to 1 pm

We offer structured weekend morning programs on Saturdays and Sundays to support families who require additional supervision and engagement.

Current support ratios include:

- 1:1 support

- 1:2 support

Weekend programs focus on skill development, social interaction, and community participation.

School Holiday & Summer Programs

Our school holiday and summer programs provide safe, engaging, and meaningful activities during school breaks.

Programs may include:

- Community outings

- Creative and art-based workshops

- Cooking and life skills activities

- Gardening and outdoor programs

- Structured group activities supporting regulation and wellbeing

Funding Options & Fees

We understand that NDIS funding may not always cover all required supports.

Families can choose a flexible combination of:

- NDIS-funded supports

- Fee-for-service (out-of-pocket) support

For fee-for-service participants, the current rate is:

- $50 per hour

This flexibility allows families to maintain continuity of care when NDIS funding is limited.

Our Program Approach

Our programs are delivered with a strong focus on:

- Skill development and independence

- Safe and predictable routines

- Positive behaviour support

- Social connection and inclusion

Programs are tailored to individual ages, goals, and support needs.
