Small Things Make a Difference

Good morning, readers.

I'm writing about how small things make a difference for Mental Health Awareness Month, which takes place throughout May.

I’m writing from home now, not Wantirna Knox and I'm sharing from my lived and living experience with mental health. Small things make a difference when looking at what needs to be done, whether it's tasks, career goals, or health goals.

It can feel overwhelming to view everything as one big accomplishment to achieve. But when I break things down into smaller parts, it seems less stressful and more manageable.

Sometimes, small things come in the form of actions from others, like a smile from a stranger while walking down the street or a quick conversation that brightens my day. A concerned friend reaching out, even for a small chat, can make my day and ease my mind.

So, don’t focus solely on big changes, because every significant change requires small steps in between.

Thank you for reading and for engaging with my lived and living experience. If anything in this post has brought up difficult feelings, please consider reaching out for support.

Lifeline is available at 13 11 14.

Have a beautiful day!
