National relaxation day

Hello readers,

I’m writing from the library today not from Wantirna Knox where I usually work and I’m going to blog about National Relaxation Day, which is celebrated on August 15.

This day is focused on embracing relaxation, using stress reduction techniques, and promoting a calm, stress free environment. I’d like to share a few ideas on how we can encourage this in the workplace.

One way to start the day is with a guided meditation, helping everyone ease into their tasks with a clear and calm mind. Offering herbal teas like chamomile or green tea can also create a soothing atmosphere.

Taking regular breaks is essential, and a good stretch especially for those of us who sit for a long time can make a big difference. If your workplace has an outdoor area, having lunch outside can be quite relaxing. I do this myself sometimes, especially with spring approaching, and it really helps me recharge.

Outside of work, there are plenty of ways to celebrate National Relaxation Day. You might try meditation or deep breathing exercises, take a warm bath with lavender essential oil or any scent you love, or simply spend time doing something that brings you joy. Whether it’s art, gaming, or watching a movie or series, self-care is a powerful way to unwind.

Wishing you a peaceful and relaxing day and thank you for reading my blog!
