I first applied when the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) first came out but got knocked back. I could not remember why, then a second time, and now I am applying a third time. It's a lot of paperwork. My psychologist is helping me, and I have to answer many questions. I think to myself, do I really need this? I've definitely thought about giving up. I feel for all the people with disabilities out there, going through all these questions and sharing your private information. But on the other hand, it has helped so many people with disabilities. One thing my friend got help with is travel and accommodation. I don’t know the exact nature of what she got help with, but it made a difference to her. I'm thankful it's out there for people. I can't talk much about my personal experience, but I hope you like my blog. Thanks for reading.
