Good afternoon, readers!
I thought I’d write about Melbourne’s public transport system. There are two zones in the metropolitan area:
Zone 1 covers the inner CBD, where you can ride free trams in the City Circle.
Zone 2 includes the surrounding suburbs.
Zones 3 to 16 are regional zones for example, Ballarat falls within this range.
The best way to navigate Melbourne’s public transport is by visiting www.ptv.vic.gov.au. The Journey Planner tool lets you enter your location, destination, and preferred departure or arrival time to find the best route. You can choose between buses, trains, and trams.
Alternatively, if you’re at a bus stop, you can use Google Maps to find nearby stops and check how long the next bus will take to arrive. It also shows which buses pass through that stop.
I hope this helps you get around Melbourne more easily. Thanks for reading!
