Hello readers,
I'm writing from home today, not from the Wantirna Knox area, and I’m going to be sharing some thoughts on Women’s Health Week, which runs from the 1st to the 5th of September. This week focuses on the health and wellbeing of all women, girls, and gender diverse people.
The theme this year is “Say Yes to You” which is all about prioritising yourself your health, your happiness, and your strength. It’s a reminder to say yes to the things that support you, make you healthier, and help you become a stronger person, rather than letting other people’s priorities burn you out.
There are many things you can do for yourself during these five days to support your wellbeing. Community activities can be a great way to relax, and connection is powerful for the mind.
You might consider joining a local walking group, a yoga class, or an art group. You could also read a book about women’s health or listen to an audiobook to learn more about how to take care of yourself. And finally, sitting down with a friend to talk about health and wellbeing can be incredibly valuable you might even discover some great ideas together.
Thanks for reading my blog, and I hope you find a way to say yes to yourself though Women’s Health Week.
