Hello, readers!
I'm writing from home today, not Wantirna in the Knox area, and I’m continuing to bring awareness to Men’s Health Week.
Today’s topic is men’s physical health.
Around Australia, men are more likely to suffer from serious health conditions and are more likely to die from them earlier. They are also at greater risk for heart disease and certain cancers like prostate cancer, and they often delay seeking medical attention.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death among men in Australia. Nearly 4 in 5 heart disease deaths in people under 65 are men. Men are also over 30% more likely to get cancer than women and 50% more likely to die from it.
These statistics highlight how important it is to have a trusted doctor or health professional in your life whom you can go to for support. It’s never too early to get a check up if something doesn’t seem right, don’t ignore it. Remember to reach out when you need support.
Thanks for reading
I hope this blog helps raise awareness about men’s physical health!
