Hello readers

I'm writing from home today, not from the Wantirna Knox area, and its disability pride month this July, which is to bring awareness to people with disabilities and to celebrate self identity and diversity and inclusion around Australia and the world.

The disability pride flag represents resilience and identity and is representing the efforts people with disabilities have achieved for their rights.

The five colours starting with green representing sensory disabilities the second is Blue represents mental illness and psychiatric disabilities and third is White represents invisible and undiagnosed disabilities and the fourth is Gold represents neurodiversity and last is Red represents physical disabilities.

The first time a government body hung the flag in Australia was in 2022 by the Inner West Council in Sydney on a civic building.

Hope you celebrate and bring awareness to disability pride month.

Thank you for reading
