Good morning, everyone! Today, I'd like to talk about the importance of drinking water. I'm currently up in the country—specifically in Victoria—not in Wantirna, Knox. It was so hot here the other day that I felt dehydrated, which got me thinking about this topic.

Experts say to drink 8 cups of water per day, but after looking it up, I found that the recommendation is actually 15 cups per day, which is around 2 litres. Water is a key component of saliva, and drinking enough water helps regulate body temperature. This everyday substance is incredibly beneficial in ways we might not always think about.

If you want to stay hydrated, drinking water will make you feel better, less tired, and more awake. Here are some tips for staying hydrated:

• Start the day with a glass of water before having coffee. I know it's hard, but it's not impossible!

• Carry a water bottle with you throughout the day.

• Eat fruits and vegetables with high water content.
