I'm writing from home today not Wantirna Knox area and today I’m writing about Loneliness Awareness Week which is the first week of August.
It is about sharing each other’s experience of loneliness and coming together and speaking up about it in employment, friend groups and in schools and in everyday life.
So go out there and have those conversations big or small they all help. Sometimes I can be in room of people and feel lonely so what I do is start small conversations with people and at the end of the day i feel better for it.
When I’m alone if I’m feeling lonely, I call a friend or family member sometimes i just need to express how I’m feeling and what’s on my mind a problem shared is problem halved so don’t keep it all inside reach out.
Some good way to reach out are support groups and community groups like art groups or walking groups.
