Hello readers

I’m writing from work today in Wantirna Knox area and its disability pride month from Tuesday the 1st to the Thursday 31st of July

so, this month is about embracing disability as a positive identity and celebrating diversity within the disability community around Australia

your probably wondering of the history of disability pride month well that is what I will be writing about today it started in 1990 a protest in America with over 1000 people march that day to the U.S. Capitol for people with disabilities.

President George H.W. Bush signed the ADA into law 26th of July 1990 so this meant people with disability had rights in the workplaces, and public areas and on transportation.

the first disability pride day was held in Boston and 2004 Chicago held a parade inspiring other event worldwide

celebrate disability pride month by reading a book or listen to podcast or watch movie

 thanks for reading
