Thanks for stopping by!

Today’s blog is coming to you from the comfort of my home instead of my usual spot in Nunawading. Let’s celebrate Disability Pride Month this July! If you haven’t read my last blog called Happy Disability Pride Month, check it out; it shares some important information about Disability Pride Month. In this blog, I’ll share simple, meaningful ways you can help raise awareness of Disability Pride Month.

To start off, share posts online about Disability Pride Month and what it represents to help spread awareness in a positive way. You can also celebrate and uplift disabled voices by sharing and engaging with their stories and content.

Take time to learn about disability rights, accessibility, and what true inclusion looks like in everyday life. Most of all, use kind, inclusive language and feel confident speaking up when you see stereotypes or ableist attitudes.

Support disability led organizations and creators by following, engaging with, or donating to their work, and a fun way to get involved is by joining local events or online conversations that celebrate disability awareness and inclusion.

Help make every day spaces more accessible in the way you communicate, plan, and share information. Also, keep the conversation going with friends, family, and colleagues to build understanding and create a more inclusive world together.

I hope this blog has helped you find something you’d like to do to help bring awareness to Disability Pride Month.

Thanks for reading my blog.

Happy Disability Pride Month!
