Hello readers,
I’m working from home today instead of my usual locations in Wantirna and Knox, and I wanted to take a moment to share something exciting you can do with the kids these holidays. I was thinking that Scienceworks would be a pretty fun and amazing experience. It has accessible parking and wheelchair access, and it's located at 2 Booker Street, Spotswood, Victoria, 3015. It’s about a 24-minute drive from the Melbourne CBD, and there is a parking fee just so you know. If you're taking public transport, it’s a little over 40 minutes from the CBD.
The first thing I’d recommend checking out is a show called Ready to Launch. It’s on at 12 pm and 2 pm, running throughout the summer holidays, and teaches kids how rockets work so don’t miss out on that!
At the same times, there’s also Solar System, a special presenter led show all about the planets.
Next, there’s Tinkertown, where kids (and adults!) can build, experiment, and solve mysteries in a fun, hands on environment.
Another highlight is the Museum of the Moon, a stunning art/science installation featuring a four meter wide model of the Moon with realistic surface details.
Check out their website for even more activities. I hope you get down to Scienceworks these holidays with the kids they’ll have a blast!
Thanks for reading my blog!
