Today, I'm writing from the comfort of my home, not my usual spot in Nunawading. I want to talk about Togetherness and connection: the heart of a strong community
What we do to stay connected as a community: I'm going to tell you about some events we have held and attended.
The one I liked most of all was a bingo session we held at Lilydale RSL. I got to call the numbers out in front of everyone. It was a great day, and surprisingly, a guest won all 3 games in a row- wow, the luck in that.
Next up was the disability expo we attended at the Expo Centre in Melbourne's city. It was huge, a great way to meet the rest of the disability community, and the whole team attended, which was a great way to connect and support each other. Our stall looked amazing.
The last one is the celebrations we held at our company, from Halloween to Christmas and birthday parties. My favourite was Halloween; we had everyone in costumes, and decorations up everywhere, and a Ginnie with a magic ball telling fortunes.
We believe in building a strong sense of community and creating meaningful connections where everyone feels valued, included, and welcome.
