Hello readers!
I’m writing from home today instead of the Wantirna and Knox area, and I’m thrilled to share an incredible walking group organised by Orana Neighbourhood House located in Wantirna south
This isn’t just any walking group it’s designed for people who can walk from around 500 metres up to a little over 1 km. Whether you’re unaided or use a walking stick or Nordic poles, this group is a fantastic way to enjoy some gentle exercise in a friendly and supportive environment.
Walking isn’t just great for your body it’s wonderful for your mind too! Spending time outdoors, breathing in fresh air, and moving at your own pace can help lift your mood, improve your energy, and even give you a chance to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Plus, it’s a perfect opportunity to meet new people, connect with the local community, and share a few laughs along the way.
The group leaves Orana Neighbourhood House at 3:30 pm every Tuesday, weather permitting, so you can easily plan your week around it. Enjoy the scenery and take part in a safe and supportive activity that’s as social as it is healthy.
No matter your pace, you’re welcome to join and be part of the fun. It’s a chance to challenge yourself gently, stay active, and make walking an enjoyable social adventure. Whether you’re coming along for some exercise, to enjoy nature, or simply to have a friendly chat with others in the community, there’s something for everyone. join as a “mate” to support fellow walkers.
So, lace up your walking shoes, grab your poles or stick if you need them, and come along to be part of this welcoming, energising, and positive experience!
Thanks for reading my blog!
