Thanks for Stopping By!

Today, I’m writing from the comfort of my home rather than my usual spot in Nunawading, and today I'll be writing about how Self-Care Isn't Selfish.

Self-care is important, but it can make some feel guilty for taking time out, especially if you have family to care for, a loved one or are a full-time career. As I say all the time, if your cup is not full, how can you look after or give your proper attention to someone else.

Self-care refers to the actions we take to look after our physical, emotional, and mental health. It's about recognising when we need to pause, recharge, and give ourselves the same care and compassion that we often offer to others. It's the small everyday habits that make the biggest difference.

Doing self-care can help reduce stress, improve your mood, boost energy and motivation, increase concentration and productivity, support healthier relationships, and build resilience during challenging times.

Some things I can suggest are taking regular breaks, spending time outdoors, getting enough sleep, connecting with friends and family, practising mindfulness, enjoying hobbies, setting healthy boundaries, and taking time to reflect on small achievements; all of these can support self-care and help you feel more balanced and resilient.

Thank you for reading my blog. I hope it has inspired you to make self-care a priority and take time for your own well-being. Remember, even small acts of self-care can make a big difference in your overall health and happiness.
