Thanks for stopping by!

Today, I'm writing from the comfort of my home rather than my usual spot in Nunawading, and I'd like to talk about how to build a Strong Support Network for NDIS Participants.

A support network is a group of people who provide practical, emotional, and social support. This can include family, friends, carers, support workers, and community groups who help people living with disability build confidence, achieve their goals, and enjoy greater independence and wellbeing.

Building a strong support network involves staying connected with family and friends, participating in community activities, and working with trusted support providers who understand your goals.

Open communication helps others better understand your needs and provide meaningful support, while developing genuine relationships over time can create a reliable circle of encouragement.

NDIS-funded services can also help participants connect with community programs, build new relationships, and access valuable resources that promote independence and wellbeing.

A strong support network can make a positive difference by reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness, improving mental health and wellbeing, providing encouragement during challenging times, helping participants achieve their personal goals, increasing community participation, and building greater independence and confidence.
