Hello readers,

I’m working from home today instead of my usual locations in Wantirna and Knox, and I wanted to take a moment to share something interesting . I’ll start by saying don’t we all get bloated or feel unwell over the holidays from eating too much or choosing unhealthy foods at parties and gatherings? i know i do.

So, I’m going to give some advice on how to avoid that.

Before heading off to a party or gathering, try eating a small snack like nuts or dips such as hummus. Don’t go hungry, and most of all, don’t skip meals to “make up” for one big meal. Allow yourself small treats so you don’t feel guilty.

If you do overindulge, don’t worry just make your next meal a healthy one. We often feel guilty and continue eating the foods that made us feel bad, thinking “I’ll start next week,” but it’s better to start fresh with your very next meal or when you can don't put pressure on your self .

If it’s your party, make sure there are plenty of healthy foods for your guests, such as roasted veggies or salads. I’ve also heard turkey is a great meat to enjoy over the holidays, and it tastes delicious if you like turkey that is.

Happy holidays, and stay healthy this season with these tips!

Thanks for reading my blog.
