Today, I'm writing from the comfort of my home, not my usual spot in Nunawading and spring is around the corner how exciting! Birds are chirping; the sun is shining.
I love this weather.
So today I'll be sharing a disability-accessible outing for this spring. It's great getting out in nature, smelling the flowers and looking up at the blue sky, and most of all connecting with friends and family.
Well, the outing is at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne; it’s an exhibition where nature meets art. Featuring four original installations, Design X Nature highlights the ways natural systems can spark new approaches to creativity, material exploration, and environmental thinking.
It is Deaf and Hard of Hearing accessible, provides language support with no barrier, and offers full wheelchair accessibility, and there's more. Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy a diverse program of activities featuring artists creating on site, educational walks, and thought-provoking talks.
So what time is it open? Design X Nature will be on display from 25 September to 18 October 2026, with exhibition access available daily from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm throughout September and extended hours from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm during October.
