Hello readers
I’m working from home today instead of my usual locations in Wantirna and Knox, and I wanted to take a moment to share something important. It’s November, which means it’s Lung Cancer Awareness Month a time to support, raise awareness, and encourage early detection for one of the most common and serious cancers worldwide.
This November, you can get involved by wearing pearl or white, the official awareness colors for Lung Cancer Awareness Month, to show your support. You can also share facts and stories on social media or change your profile picture to a lung cancer awareness graphic. Another way to make a difference is by volunteering with awareness events, advocacy groups, or support hotlines.
The Lung Foundation Australia website has more information on how to get involved. One great initiative is “Shine a Light,” a fundraising campaign where you can host a community walk or join one that’s already organized to help raise funds and awareness. Most importantly, help promote early detection by learning the early warning signs and symptoms and speaking with your doctor if you have any concerns.
Thanks for reading my blog and helping to spread awareness this November. 💙
