Thanks for stopping by.
Today’s blog is coming to you from the comfort of my home instead of my usual spot in Nunawading, and I'm going to share some fun events this Disability Pride Month around Melbourne.
The first is The Disability Pride Celebration 2026, which will be held on Friday, 31 July, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Trades Hall in Carlton. This free hybrid event, available both in person and online, celebrates disability culture and community with comedy, live performances, drag, arts activities, games, food, and a range of accessible features. Registration is recommended.
Then there is Disability Pride Month celebrates the history, achievements, and experiences of people with disabilities. As part of this year's celebrations, Victoria's first-ever Disability Pride Flag Raising will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm on Tuesday, 8 July at the St Albans Community Centre (33 Princess Street, St Albans). The free event includes an afternoon tea hosted by the DRC. Registration is encouraged for catering, and attendees are invited to wear colourful clothing or pyjamas as part of the cozy casual dress theme.
Thanks for reading my blog, hope you join the fun at one of these exciting events.
